Colleen Eagan Zawadzki has been an educator and staff development trainer for more than 33 years. She worked for 23 years in the Syracuse city schools as a teacher and staff development specialist developing support in traditional and alternative settings. She created and implemented a program for teachers at risk of being unsuccessful in collaboration with both union officials and central office administration. She worked with truant students in a one room school house for several years. Following that, she provided staff development for teachers and administrators on curriculum, instruction, behavior management strategies and technology integration for Onondaga Cortland-Madison BOCES- a consortium service provider to 23 school districts. In 2006, she began a school for at risk high school students from four of the largest high schools in central New York.
Colleen holds a B.A from SUNY Buffalo, a M.S. from Syracuse University and a C.A.S from SUNY Cortland.
She is an official trainer of the Discipline with Dignity methods and strategies and comes highly recommended by Dr. Allen Mendler, co-creator of the Discipline with Dignity program.
